The TeachingWorks Coaching Institute is a yearly program orchestrated to empower teacher educators with the necessary skills to mentor teachers candidates. My collaboration with TeachingWorks involved formulating a branding concept that encapsulated the essence of the event—a convergence of guidance, practice, and tangible involvement in the art of teaching.

The inspiration for the program's identity was rooted in the metaphorical significance of a quilt. Just as a quilt is composed of individual pieces meticulously stitched together to create a unified whole, the Coaching Institute's branding needed to reflect the synthesis of diverse educational experiences culminating in a coherent and supportive learning journey for its participants.

To visually convey this concept, I designed a quilt-like motif that served as the connective tissue for all the program's branding elements. The pattern symbolized the assemblage of critical components—feedback, practice, and hands-on education—that are integral to the program's success. The motif not only represented the interconnected nature of the Coaching Institute's offerings but also communicated a sense of warmth and approachability often associated with the craft of quilting.

Complementing the visual branding, the campaign was augmented with storytelling elements that incorporated testimonials from past participants. These quotes added a human element to the campaign, bridging the gap between the realms of formal education and personal growth. They provided relatable insights into the transformative experiences facilitated by the institute, helping to attract a wider audience of educators seeking to enhance their coaching abilities.

This project underscored my ability to conceptualize and execute a brand identity that communicates a program's core values and unique approach to professional development. It highlighted the role of thoughtful graphic design in creating an inviting and unified image for an educational event, bridging professional rigor with the personal touchstones of experience and growth pivotal to TeachingWorks' mission.
